How long does it take for thermostat to open on 200 4 stroke

Running my 200 4 str. In driveway with earphones for 60 seconds or so.thermo not dumping yet,over heat alarm not going off.getting nervous.should i try again and for how long.

It opens when it is at temperature, usually around 140 degrees. If it is not over heating, you can put your hand on the heads with out flinching and pulling your hand away, it is most likely alright. Flushing ears are notorious for not giving enough water to some outboard engines. Put it in the water and then see what happens.
