Anti freeze?

Replaced risers and elbows, while doing so i lost some anti freeze. Is there a special marine anti freeze or will automotive work? I have a 91' 454.

Best to replace it with whatever type is currently in the cooling system....some types don't "mix" well with others.

Personally, I'd stay away from the 'dexcool' concoction and stick with a low silicate EG type. Buy it at 100% (not the 50/50 predilute) and add enough to get your concentration at the desired level. This will require checking the concentration of what is still in there. Also, a good time to check the alkalinity - if the coolant has turned acidic, it ALL needs to be REPLACED.
