.....took off my carbs on a 1977 John.Seahorse 55hp-2cyl "55EL77D" and found this black hose just sitting under the carbs, where does it need to go if anywhere? Comes out of the intake manifold it seems..

It goes to the airbox.-----------------It is there to draw any spillage / leaks into the engine.

Thanks!

Does it go here on the spark arrestor or is that a drain?

It goes to the nipple ( arrow points at it )below that oval opening !--------------There is no spark arrestor on this motor !

OK, thanks, i thought the plastic air box was the spark arrestor....no air filters on outboards or should there be some kind of filter in there?

Is there a chart somewhere that would show me what the original propeller size is?

Re: Should this hose go anywhere? '77 Seahorse 55hp...(pic also)

No air filter on older outboards either.-------------------The propeller attaches to the motor , but fits the boat and the application.----------Selecting the proper propeller takes experience or a tachometer to monitor the motor.
