10% Ethanol and Head Gasket problems?

Does anyone know of any evidence that using 10% Ethanol Gasoline in marine engines can contribute to deterioration in copper head gaskets?

not that i`ve heard, it does tend to wash the oil off the cylinder walls so i tell my customers to add some 2 stroke oil to their gas.

what Mercruiser engine uses copper head gaskets? The old Renault based 60/90HP?

anything is possible, most damage I have heard is fuel tanks corroding, fuel lines corroding, fuel/water separating filters clogging. and the biggest pain in the arse is people not adding stabil marine to the fuel year round and letting the boat sit to long getting phase separation and a lot of water in the fuel.

I think 1 oz. to ten gallons seasonal, 1 0z to 5 gal. seasonal storage.

Copper?

Maybe some early Anzani Minors......Maybe the first Australian Olympics else the rest are fibre composits. In W.A. we do not have Ethonol blended fuels Thank the Great Dingo!

Anything and everything is being blamed on ethanol lately. Some is true some not.
