Yanmar 3LM engine

Hi there,
I have a 3LM yanmar in board engind and i can't find any dosuments for this engine online!! can anyone please inform me what type of oil to be used in the gearbox?

I'm new to marine engines. Can you tell me what do u mean by "what type of gearbox i have"? i read somewhere that there are three makes for the gearbox but i can't diffrentiate the type of the one already installed!

To my knowledge the 3LM is most likely a 'marinized' Yanmar industrial/tractor engine and not originally a Yanmar Marine engine.
It should be a sticker or number plate on the gearbox stating make, model, ratio and in most cases even oil to be used.
If you are not able to find that, take a pic and post or up-load on Photobucket or similar and post the link.
