Right, i'll try to explain my issue and hopefully it will make sense!
I have a small outboard that only has tension control on the throttle. Im trying to get that throttle control to the front of my boat where I have a steering system in place. (I dont want to have to let go of the steering to slow down etc)
I thought I could remove the control on the tiller and extend the cable to the front from the outboard and put the controller back on the end, however...
Because its tension controled with a cable, I can get a 'universal' control lever, but I have a feeling when I turn left, it will tighten the cable, therefore adding throttle and when I turn right it will slacken the cable and therefore slow me down. This is because the outboard will move when turned, and so the cable will move with it..
Does that make sense?
Any ideas or thoughts?
