hi i was wondering my 1961 evinrude lark 3 has a 10 1/2" x 13" prop but has listed a 10 3/8" x 14" prop as the standard prop for this model would this be making a big difference

Ayuh,... Unless you have a Tach to be able to tell,..?? Nope....

the motor should be runnin' in it's optium rpm range, usually shown on it's id. tag, under a Normal load, at Wot...
If your's is over-reving now, the bigger prop would help...
If it's now runnin' where it wants to be,... No, it would lug with the bigger prop...

Lugging is worse than over-reving to a degree,..
Lugging causes detonation, which leads to Holes in pistons...
Over-reving, ya just slow down abit on the throttle...

thanx i will have a look at it as it does have tacho....the main reson i am looking at this is because the motor is on a 3.5m stebercraft fibreglass hull and struggles to get on the plane..however the engine is very reliable starts first go every go..seems like it should go better!

Ayuh,.... That'll make it Worse... Ya need to go Smaller, not bigger...

Hello Damien Lane

this is another option you may want to consider to help your boat get on plane.
