Most likely all data provided from the automotive ECU/ECM will be incorrect for your intended Marine use. Fuel metering will be incorrect! I would not attempt to do this.
I'm also not certain if the fuel return line is legal for marine use.
You will also need to consider the head gaskets from 1987, and whether this will be fitted with a Closed Cooling system, or if it will be an Open system. An Open system poses some issues for the automotive head gaskets.
Also, in 1987, I believe that Chrysler 318/360 engines used the nylon cam sprocket. If changing camshafts, you certainly want to get away from this.
None of my business...... but a 1987 car/truck/van 318 may have some miles on it.
Is this going to provide enough power for a 28 footer where a 440 had been previously installed?
