Inspecting and Resealing Lower End, Standard Cobra 2.3L

I received a lower end seal kit Sierra #18-2671 from MarineEngine.com this week.

The kit had (2) small 'o'rings which appear to be #AS568A-108, O.D. 1/2", I.D. 1/4", Cross Section 3/32".

I'm not sure where these go, but they aren't used for the shift rod. The shift rod is .3115" diameter. I found no 'o'ring that would fit the cover/shift rod guide. I tried one of the small 'o'rings, but it fell out when the shift rod was inserted.

Does anyone know what the correct 'o'ring part number is for the shift rod?

Best I can tell, is it may be a -109 or a -203(??).

Edit: OOPS. The shift rod seal was in the kit, stuck under a flap. The 'o'ring appears to be a special. Could not find it in the 'o'ring sizing catalog. The O.D + .63", I.D. = .309", and the cross section = .18". Or maybe it's a metric for an 8mm shaft(??).
