Hi all,can some kind soul point me in the right 'direction',and tell me if the hole in the valve push rods, should be at the top or the bottom, when I removed these in a recent overhaul, some are at the top some bottom,so i suspect that the last person to do this has has mixed them up on re-installation?

Sorry guys, that was a bit 'misleading',i know the hole going through the pushrods is an oil feed, the other hole i mentioned,is actually just an indentation & is situated on the body of the pushrod,i am presuming it is caused when it was fabricated or a punch mark that sombody has put on too remind them how they sit,its just that when i removed them, some were at the upper end some the bottom?

Don't make a bit of difference, look at both ends and see that they are not flattened.

Roll them on a hard surface they bent?

Hold one at a time and sight down the rod to see if they are bent, hold it up to the sun.

A straight rod is important not what you posted in the original question.
