2HP Draining Fuel

Looking for the best way to get the fuel out of the engine for winter storage.
The float bowl is not a problem - I can either drain it or run it dry. But how about the tank? Can I turn the engine upside down to drain the fuel out through the fill, or will that mess things up with the crankcase oil? Or perhaps I should just drain the crankcase too and then refill it in the spring? Suggestions?

Hopefully you were running some sort of fuel treatment or stabilizer in your fuel...and it has been run through the motor.

Since you are supposed to change the oil before you store it, the easiest way would be to drain the oil. Then just turn the motor upside down to get most of the fuel out of it. Put that is your car. Then open the drain for the carb and drain whatever is left into a container and put that into your car.

Then refill the oil and change gear lube.

Put a little oil into the cylinder and rotate the engine a couple of times and you are ready to go...or should I say ready to store.
