RED valve covers on a BLUE engine!! Your wife didn't pick those colors out, that's for sure.

Jeff

Boy those valve covers were a mess.
Cleaning, sanding painting exhaust manifolds in the spring. Thermo housing, alternator & starter as well. Colors??? Not sure. A "rainbow" engine... lol. As an aside; the new/rebuilt pumps empty a 5 gal. bucket in about 15 secs.

I think I'm with Jeff.......I'd stick with blue all over. My engine's black.....but only because a new long block had a nice "factory" coat of black. The rest of my parts had been sand blasted so it was just as easy to paint them to match the long block.

I like the original/period-appropriate look of the Chrysler blue......especially if the engine is original to the boat.

All subjective though.....
