Please advise year of my mercury outboard

Hi From Oz,
I have recently purchased a second hand mercury outboard (made in belgium)
serial no 9527878.
The hp decals have been removed from the motor cover but I believe it is a 6 or 7.5 hp
Could some pls advise the year model - I need to replace the impeller.

A Belgian made engine with a serial number of 9527878 will be a 1988 model.

The number could be for a 4,5,6,8 or 9.9 model but not a 7.5 as that is not listed after 1986.
