I took our Lund out for the first time this year 2 weeks ago. I noticed that the Mariner 200 seemed to be smoking more than usual. It runs well at higher RPMs but at idle it smokes and I have noticed excess oil on the outside of the cowling and down the shaft after we pull it out of the water. It appears that it's loading on oil, burning it at lower RPMs and also burning it on engine parts. Can someone give me an idea of what the problem might be?
