proper way to store boat for winter

Ayuh,... Drain ALL the water from it, 'n put 'er to bed...
After the fluid change, 'n Service of course...

Read the above info in the link, and don't do the quick winterizing kit, it's not full proof. I know someone that did, and it cost them $2,500 the next spring to replace the engine. Make sure you get ALL the water out of the engine, especially up there in South Dakota! Pull each plug on both sides of the engine block, a fair amount of water should come out. If not, poke a small wire up there and make sure no dirt/sand is blocking the water from draining out. Drain the water out of each exhaust manifold, and also from the front water circulating pump.
