Where is idle adjustment on a new 2010 4 stroke 6 HP Mercury

This is newly unboxed 2010 Mercury 4 stroke 6HP long shaft with about 5 minutes of running time in the dealer's tank.

Before I took it to my own boat, I had not noticed that the idle is set so high that shifting into fwd or rev is an "adventure".

What is the strategy, apart from letting the engine warm up at as slow an idle as the twist grip will allow, to slowing down the idle enough to allow shifting at a reasonable RPM?

There is nothing in the little manual that came with the engine about this.

Note my user name, but my opinion is take it back to the dealer and tell him/her,I'm not ***ist, there are ladies who know a lot about and are qualified in mechanical things,to fix it.When it's that new it should be perfect when you hang it on the back of your boat
