1977 Renken With 2.3

:confused:I have a 1977 Renken with a 2.3 with a bad head gasket.Its my understanding that this engine is bad for this.If so i would like to change to a better one.I dont know one to put in its place. PLEASE HELP. 77 Renken

the 2.3 did not come out till 86' So lets start all over again with size of boat so forth drive type.
