1999 nissan ns8b two stroke powerhead removal

I am having exhaust smoke coming out from under the powerhead.Also the motor is running rough.So im guessing its time to remove the powerhead and swap some gaskets?
 
Might be a leaky base gasket. Grab your Factory service manual as a guide, a 10mm socket, and you can pull the powerhead to change that gasket.
