Any one know if I can easily swap lower units between 1987 and 1989 150hp engines? Somebody told me I might have to first remove power head from 1987 and insert or modify something there before I can install the 1989 lower unit?
Several other questions:
1. What’s firing order on '87 150hp when standing behind engine, looking forward?
2. Are the electrical systems interchangeable between the ‘87 and ‘89 models?
3. My ‘89 has a badly rusted steering arm, possibly a piece can be welded on but also considering finding a good used one and swapping it out? What’s involved to swap one out?
