1988 15hp carb swap

Look at the parts breakdown and compare the two and find out what is different, the part numbers do not cross. Why do you want to swap carbs?
 
Only differnce is roller on camfollower and cable tiller. Recent ly purchased 1988 cab is junk plastic cover $77 cracked,also corner broken on plkastic bowl. New carb obsolete,have access to1985. Motor will not idle.Willthis work?
