While I have the 225E engine out of my 86 Bayliner I decided to go through my starter and alternator. The starter was working fine but I didn't seem to be getting much charge from my alternator. Well, it seems my local inexpensive rebuild guy is nowhere to be found so I am looking at doing it myself. My question is; Do the internal parts differ from the auto alternators and starters? Brushes, regulators, that stuff.
