OIL ratio ?????1993 40hp

hi, well i have added to my collection by getting a 1993 Force 40hp, the seller says it should be a 100:1 mix, is it ? is the question.:confused:

Probably 50-1 1 pint to 6 gal. It's possible it's 100-1 but till your sure use 50-1.It will foul out the plugs quicker but won't burn up anything.J

had same issue pop up with same unit, belonging to customer. After 30 gal. of fuel and 6 spark plugs it was settled with a 64:1 ratio, has ran great for 2 years now.

I think it has something to do with the air/fuel mixture screw settings, what do u suggest it should be from slightly seated

You have a problem?

For initial setting, 1 1/2 turn out.
Then adjust from there.
Motor warm.
