HI again you guys are aa wealth of knowledge. I need the correct part # or thermostst specs for my 1990 454xl crusader.

In my book, if your thermostat is mounted on top of the engine block in near the center of the intake manifold, THE BOOK shows a 96319
 
I'm not saying your wrong old boy.

The post asks for a part number and doesn't give a serial number, only a model number; wonders why there aren't even more variations in the response???
 
Once again Mark, you are right. I did however remember in another post, he had asked for a sending unit on a 1990 454XL.......Mine are 1992 This is what I am using, BUT...You are correct

And I would NEVER debate you on these topics unless as you said once, you were a bit fat fingered. As you know, I have great respect for the abilities of about 10 people here. Feel free to count yourself as one of them
 
I didn't know Crusader used the "XL" designator for engines that old....thought it started right before the switch from the Mark IV blocks ~ 1992/1993.
