OMC engine alignment tool 1989 5.8 L

Hi Guys,
1989 OMC Ford 5.8 / Cobra drive
I am going to take the sterndrive off the boat and remove the motor to repair the starter motor ring gear. What I need is an engine alignment tool for when re-installing the motor/drive. They are difficult to source downunder so I wonder if anyone could give me all the dimensions of this tool so I can have one turned down. With thanks. :)

If it's aligned now, shouldn't it be aligned when you reinstall? What's going to change?
Broom handle with duct tape shim will be close enough.

First - this ain't a 1 or 2 year old boat thats why to use the tool.

Second - The rear or front motor mount could have dropped, thats why to use the tool.

Third - The drive could have dropped, Thats why to use the tool.

Fourth - i don't know shipping rates but the tool on ebay can be had for 25 bucks.
