How do I adjust the rocker arms on a a 1986 Crusader 262 cid, 4.3L V-6 engine? Is there a specific method? A specific torque setting?
 
Just like the V-8 hydraulic lifters - zero lash plus a little bit. I use a half turn tighter than zero; some will tell you more, some less. You can do it running with no extra effort but it can be messy with the oil dripping from the heads. You can also do it off, one cylinder at a time, but you need to watch the balancer carefully.
