1968 Merc 500 50 hp

I have just about completed my 1968 Merc 500 50 hp rebuild but am having a problem understanding the two hoses coming off the magneto/ignition driver unit. They are attached by small plastic 90 degree fittings at the mag/ingition drvr. body and have the same plastic push in fittings on the other ends but I can't find any reference to where they attach or their purpose. They do appear to be vent/cooling air hoses.

Would appreciate your help.

They're merely vent hoses. One goes to the cowling in front, the other to one side. Not important where they go long as it's outside the cowling.
