We have a Volvo Penta 4.3 I/O that runs great most of the time. When we get to the lake it will start right up, but after we shut it off to take a break (usually an hour or 2) it will start up fine again, but then die in a matter of minutes, usually when you punch it. After 5-10 minutes of cranking, it will start back up and then run fine for the rest of the day. We have taken it to multiple mechanics and had the fuel pump along with other things replaced, but it keeps happening.

What could it be??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

After having the same problem and spending nearly $1,000.00 trouble shooting this perplexing issue it turned out to be a bad ignition coil a $60.00 part replacement. No matter how much you try to minimize maintenance cost at the end of the day Boat still stands for:
· Break
· Out
· Another
