1993 with a 1995 Gen V 502 MPI Bravo One Formula 271 SR-1. 420 hours on boat and 270 on motor. some salt, some brackish. Put 12 hours on it last week, in salt. It has all fresh gas, oils and batteries. And has been flushed. It's hard to get used to the 'slow crank' before she fires, sounds like a an old ford during a Chicago winter.
Risers are getting rusty around the edges, but no leaking. Stored indoors most of the time. Almost trouble free this year. Even the speedo works. I have it in my driveway on the trailer. Not like I'm looking for stuff to do, but what should I be looking for to continue my good fortune?

Merc. makes a spray protectant to use on the engine to reduce corrosion. If the manifolds and risers are old it's time to replace them before they crack and saltwater infiltrates the block. Make sure the grounding wires on the engine & OD and annodes are in good condition or the cathodic system is working. Continue servicing the OD and engine.
