Working out of a manual !

Blake, asking the question is not the issue intrinsically. The issue may come into play when we do not know the validity of the source who provides the answer.
And if the question was missing a tad of info, then we dilute things even further.

Average Joe asks a question....
Average Joe's question is a bit vague....
But average Billy-Bob jumps in anyway, and gives an answer....
Average Joe uses the info, but is not aware of a few changes during the year model....
Average Billy-Bob was also not aware, because neither bothered to read the manual.
Average Joe now has more damage to deal with!

I refuse to provide some specs for people! They may not be providing an accurate question or using an accurate model number!!!!!!!!!

Chief, sortta off topic, but my other pet peeve is a thread title that gives little to no full data about the actual question:

"What's this?"
or
"How come my ____ does this?"

I generally skip right past these threads.

IMO, the owness is on the OP to fully describe and ask a proper question.
