broken flywheel cover assembly 1996 115hp

My '96 115 hp Evinrude flywheel housing broke today. Engine would not start until we managed to hold housing in place to get back to shore. I hope to replace and re-install myself. Any advice?

You will need to set the timing and will probably want to get a timing wheel, never got mine off without breaking it. you'll need a piston stop tool and a special tool to set the timing.
