HELP - Which motor to use

Hi All,
New to the forum, and have just bout a restoration project - 1959 Bell Boy Banshee
I have a quick question re the motors I have available to use...............

I have an Evinrude 1961 Lark 3 40HP (great tight motor and runs well)

I also have two 1967 Evinrude 60? HP motors that run really well

Which one of the motors should I pick to restore for the Banshee?
Will I need any additional transom bracing to use a larger motor?

any help is greatly appreciated

Personally I would go with the 61 as it is closer to the year of the boat but that is just a personal choice. Your boat is rated to 70HP according to the info at http://www.fiberglassics.com/library/Bellboy so if the transom is in good shape no further reinforcement should be needed if you choose to run the 67.
