Hello everyone in the OMC world! I know this topic has been covered about a trillion times, but what harm is one more. Anyways, I have an 88 Sunray with an OMC 5.0L. I have had several gremlins from bogging down, carb issues, mech. advance to so on and so on. So I think im finally going to drop the points and move onto the pertronix conversion. I have seen all the different ESA fixes (diode/resistor fix, updated ESA, wire like Merc.) Which one is the easiest, fastest, best fix? Oh yeah my distributor is a Mallory YL624AV...Thanks.
