Made a mistake and filled saildrive with gear case 60-80 wt oil.. I can suck most of it out and replace with what manual calls for dexron III ATF oil.. But it will mix somewhat. At present location impossible to haul out. Manual says by doing this will leave approx .5 L in saildrive.
Will this mixing of gear case oil and ATF oil be a problem.
Also after running hard last week the gear case oil was black.. Possible clutch leavings in oil..
any suggestions.
