im goin to be setting the idle screws on a 1973 70hp chrysler outboard and i think i got the procedure right just needing info if its wrong

1, 1/4 out then one at a time turn them out till tit runs rough then back in till it runs smooth then move to next cyclinder... which carb should i start with?

do i use all the turn #'s and use the average?

if this works i will be switching the carbs with carbs from an 85hp and doing the procedure all over again.

carbs and engines are the same from 70-85ph except the main fuel jets?

thanks

Because one carb bleeds thru the next the carb setting should be 1 to 1 1/8 turn and leave them there. That's how I was taught to set them from the factory.
85 carbs will probably be jetted wrongfor a 70.
There is a difference between the 70 and 85 hp.Bore stroke size of the pistons maybe different.J
