wont go down!

I have a hydrolic trim on my Ranger. The line burst, and was replaced. The problem is that I cant get the trim to go down. when the hydroilc pressure is manualy released the motor goes down.I am getting oil to my cylinders, and when the motor goes up it goes up fine. going down is very slow or not at all. there is no air in the system, and I dont know where to go from there. I would like to know if you can help!

Did the problem occur immediately after the line was replaced?

The system has a few different valves that open/close as required to allow the fluid to move where it needs to go.

It sounds like one of the valves (the one that lets the fluid flow out of the ram) is sticking. It could be related to the burst line or could have simply died on it's own from old age...
