Took the boat out today for a spin, ran good for awhile then started to run on three cylinders.Took number 1 spark plug out and it seemed to have metal shavings on it???So I put in a new spark plug tested it further and ran good till we loaded back up and went home.At the house I thought I would run a compression test because I thought maybe a piston ring might have got damaged but according to my pressure guage all 4 piston sre 120 and above.Good.Here's what I dont understand I hooked up my timing light on nr.1 spark plug wire and noticed that by turning the flywheel arond TDC it will light up then about a 1/4 turn on the flywhhel it will light up again and again 1/2 way and again 3/4 the way on the flywheel. All this while its hooked up to nr.1.Is this normal?? My switchbox is a 332-2986a27.

Hooked up my timing light as follows + and - leads to the battery and the plug wire clip to the number 1 piston plug wire right behind the spark plug.
