New Points for 89 OMC V6

Just purchased new points from Sierra for my OMC. They do not have the extra copper bands like the old points do, is this an issue? They have a small copper wire attached to the arm. I am not interesed it replacing with an electronic upgrade at this time. Thanks for any input.
 
You are correct that is exactly what I got. The new points dont have the loose copper strap. They have a copper wire wrapped around the contact and it goes down the arm.
