parts availability 1988 350

considering purchasing an '88 model boat with a 350 chevy omc setup. im a merc guy and dont know crap about the omc stuff. are parts still available for this thing or is it obsolete

well the co. is out of business. Parts are available but for how long ?

The cutout in the transom will fit a merc drive.

There are parts available..... but I agree......, the question would be; for how long?
Many of the KC drive parts are near impossible to find!

Good News is....., the Volvo Penta SX or DP S drive can be retro-fit to the Cobra transom assembly.
The compete V/P transom shield will fit the transom opening just as the M/C will!
So you have some options should you have trouble.

Definitely have a structural survey performed!
