Gimbal bearing

Get a long threaded rod instead of the hammer, screw it into the jaws like the end of the hammer and make a thick metal plate 1/2" thick with a hole thru the middle and the plate wide enough to go across the bellhousing, slide the plate over the rod and use a nut to tighten and pull the bearing out.

other thing to do is like I did was to make a 10 lb hammer to replace the 3 lb one on most slide hammers.

The ten pounder will pull it out in 2-3 hits.
