I just bought my first boat, it ran fine in the driveway with the earmuffs on it, good stream of water exiting the motor. After I got it in the lake and half way around I heard steaming, look back to see not such a good stream of water with steam coming out.
I call some places and say I gotta 1987 merc classic 4cyl 2stroke, need an impeller kit. Yeah we got that on the shelf, $91. Some places ask for the serial number. I don't have it, the tag is gone, I looked on the motor and couldn't find it either. Sorry, we need the serial number to get you the right impeller.
