purchasing a MSD

Hi All,
I'm thinking about buying an MSD box (multie spark discharge) marine of course.To improve engine performance, has anyone installed? Pros or cons are they worth the money.

IMO, not worth the effort if this is for a cruiser type boat...... You'll do as well with a good YLM VR ignition. Again, IMO here.

Go Fast boat???? Possibly!

Others may have a varying opinion!
 
What is a VLM VR IGNITION. I'm not looking to go faster just improve the performance a little, possibly a little better burn in the cylinder just a thought.
I am currently using the Pertronix Ignitor with the MSD Blaster coil on a AQ 260

I'm sorry....... I was refering to the Mallory YLM series.... 624 AV to be exact!
This style uses reluctor (vr) style triggering!

Pertronix is a Hall Effect style! They do work well..... just not as precisionally as a VR, IMO.
