I am a new owner of a 1995 Ranger w/ 115 hp Johnson. I understand that the speedometer works by passing water thru the lower unit and can get clogged preventing a reading. What is the best way to correct this problem?
 
Clogging would only take place at the pickup point. If you can't unclog it with pressurized air, replace the pickup pitot.
