Is 35hp sea king the same block as 40hp 'rude

Hi,
Have 2 bad 1961&1962 evinrude 40hp blocks with scored cyl on both go figure.

I also have a 1960 Sea King 35 hp laying around and the blocks appear the same.

Does anyone know if the bare cyl/crankcase from the '60 SK will fit the 62 40hp evinrude (head, lower leg, intake, etc)??

Thanks a million!

My problem is that I have a 62 Evinrude 40 hp and one cylinder is bad. I need to bore it out and go OS I guess but part numbers are coming up with nothing for the 62. The 68 are available so I should be able to go with an OS piston and rings. If I get another block I need new rings which are not available anywhere at all!

Got any rings for '62 #378430,
Or an OS piston for '68 #383069??

Thanks

Hastings Piston Rings has them.......or you can spec out any ring you want. Google for info. Good luck on it, Tim
