2001 20 hp broken tiller handle

Just bought a boat with a 2001 20 hp mercury, model ML and the tiller handle is broken.
I just need the aluminum tiller handle itself, and found one on e-bay but not sure it will work, since the guys not sure what year or model it came from. Mine has a casting number 821468-C.
The casting number on e-bay is 12020-C but I know casting #'s don't really tell you much about fit,yr, model,etc.
From the photo it looks the same. Any idea's or know if this will work or whre I could find one?

I just orered one from the dealer,65 bucks. But thanks for the info.

I'm 44 and owned boats since I was 13, never owned a Mercury. I'll be visiting here for sure.
