When adjusting mixture screws on the carbs on a 1987 Yamaha 90hp, should the motor be in forward or neutral? The book I have says to put in forward and let it warm to operating temp but does not say to return to idle or not while adjusting.
Motor is running great, just after being tilted up, there is alot of oil on the bottom carb and it runs like **** (I assume to rich/lean with oil) until all the oil is gone. I adjusted my carbs while it was in idle and I am wondereing if maybe this is a rigging problem on the carbs or maybe the oil injection pump.
