My motor: Chrysler, Mod: 15411B, S/N: 1641 (not sure year)
My pull start rope is in bad shape and needs to be replaced, the recoil housing has a crack in the plastic area near the center, so I will want to replace it, if I can fine one. Has anybody removed this part before?
It looks like I have two options, remove the entire recoil mount, then disassemble the recoil (not the best way), or on the top were the gear that engages the flywheel sits there is a screw that I think removes the spring and recoil rope housing from the mount?
Also, sometimes the starter engages and it starts right up, other times it engages but just slowly turns the crank, too slow to start, or just one stoke, Battery maybe?
