whats the proper adjustment for throttle/idle speed on my motor? There are two linkage arms, top and bottom. the top has a locking nut but it is has loosened and the bottom has no nut at all. I believe they have came out of adjustment. Any help?

I realize now that one of those arms is the tranny linkage and see that probably the way to adjust the idle is to remove the clip and pull out the brass threaded thing and turn it and dont really need a locking nut. correct?

Go to the starboard side. You will see three carburators. Go to the bottom carburator. If you have someone advance the throttle, you will see the big plasic lever rotate. Inside the slot in the lever is a roller attached to another lever going to the carburator.

There is a small shiney stop screw (with a phillips head) that the lever rests on at idle. It is the throttle stop. When you turn the screw, you can adjust idle up or down. It should be 950 rpm plus or minus 50 rpm.
