Engine/shaft alignment

My SeaRay 340 sedan is equiped with 2 TAMD 41 A an MS4A reverse gear.

On the starbord engine I had to change the silent blocks because two of them have been bad. So I decided to buy 4 new ones (aftermarket). They are a little higher, than the original ones (ca 10 mm). When shaft is disconected everything runs fine, when shaft is connected and spinning I got vibration.

So I googled ... theoretical helpfull ... but

My problem is to center the shaft...
I can move the shaft vertical about 5 cm and horizontal about 8 cm.
The shaft sealing is a manecraft deep sea sealing
The boat is in the water

any advise?

Get a feeler gauge.
Center the shaft by moving up-down and side-ways as good as possible.
Try to support in centered position by using pieces of wood or similar.
Adjust engine mountings so flanges match as close as possible.
Put the flanges together.
By using the feeler gauge, 0,05mm may pass in the gap, but not 0,1 mm.
Then fine-adjust engine mounts.

Thank you very much,

that was what I tought...

but without praxis ...

better to ask someone ...

I´m going to try that on monday and hope

beeing sucsessfull

thanks
