New, Need help please.

My cousin bought a 12ft. Aluminum boat with a older 6hp, Evinrude motor on it.Now we would like to find out what year,model, fuel mixture it takes and what ever else he should know about it. I asked him to give me the serial number on it and it is 61020-J06212. I've looked for about a good hour and can't find anything. Can someone please help my out? Thanks, Justin
 
I have an old Evenrude as well. I need to know the right spark plug number and whethwer or not I should ude the new synthetic mixture or plain old oil oil? Anybody know?
 
Spark plug would depend on the model. Most people are using the TCW-3 outboard oil and not straight 30 wt. oil. Available as either standard or synthetic and either will work. Some say they notice less smoking with the synthetic and that it is more environmentally friendly. Fuel/oil ratio depends on the model and also consider the carb float material to determine if you can use an Ethanol blended gas.
