Propeller Change from aluminium to stainless steel

Hello Guys,

I want to replace two Duoprop aluminium-propellers by the same ones in stainless steel....

Unfortunately the guys at Volvo Penta don`t offer the information what diameter an pitch the aluminium props are...

I only have the serial numbers 854780 and 854790, first one is three blades, second one four blades. They have the size number A7.

How can i figure out which stainless steel propeller equals that?

The problem is, I already bought a pair of props at the volvo penta dealer and they sent me propellers that don´t work, they have a higher pitch....

So maybe you can give me a hint,

Duo props are not speced in Pitch as 'normal' but in speed-range.
Same 'speed range' = same pitch. (for same engine and drive)

Well, that results in the props i have already installed in stainless steel, but there is a different, maybe I should try the next smaller ones....

Unfortunately you have not stated engine type, max rpm and aprox speed you obtain.
The SST props are in general for higher speed, and often going from ALU to SST one has to go 'one down'. If low on the max rpm that is a typical case.

A series props have a 4 bladed un-cupped rear prop
B series props have a 3 bladed cupped rear prop
C series is virtually the same as the B but in stainless
I would guess you would be after a C6 set as the nearest equivelent.
